My toddler already loves bath time but this toy definitely made his bath time even more enjoyable!
This is as described and is 7" wide by 5.5" tall. I got 2 for Christmas for my grandsons, ages 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 as I felt by the reviews that they wouldn't want to share! I didn't open packaging but it is a soft plastic, tentacles are squeezable, head firmer. From other reviewers and my own assessment I believe it is safe, but of course in bath or pool a parent will be supervising.
When I ordered this toy my little one was too young to use it in the bath tub so I ended up making teething toys out of it until he was old enough to play with it in the bath tub. He loves them. The octopus itself he plays with in and out of the bathtub. We have gotten so much use and had so much fun with this one toy! The octopus actually fits on the side of his baby bed and we have set a stuffed animal and various other toys on it for him to look at or play with.
My son loves bath toys and he's able to fine tune his motor skills by being able to put the rings on the octopus legs.
This toy is great, except the fact it's misleading to children being called an Octopus but only having 6 Arms. Nonetheless, my child loves it, and she's playing with it right now in the bath. She couldn't wait to bathe until after dinner, it had to be done right this very second. Lol

This is really cute, it floats my kiddo love it. I am glad it has no hole so no mold. I see this lasting a long time. Easy to clean. This toy is good for boys and girls.
Cute and looks like it would help with coordination. Body is soft for chewing and pieces seem big enough they are not a chocking hazard. Overall cute toy
